This dome was conceived with the structural frame separated from the deck. This looked good but tended to result in some duplication.

By fixing 33mm Kerto 'Q' LVL Curved Decking panels to the 140mm x 140mm Pine Glulam Ribs the structure was made more efficient. This produced some significant economies complemented by the use of Cowley Connectors which simplified the joints.

The dome diameter is 18000mm x 14000 radius. Decking panels are 450 wide 'V' groove jointed in single pieces from eaves to lantern. 176 pieces of curved Redwood Glulam formed the ribs.
