Great Burgh House, Epsom
Project
The four lamella structures at Great Burgh House formed large 'rooflights' which also provided ventilation.
The construction, based on alternating 2000 long Ribs, has a remarkably shallow depth - a ratio of span/40. The Kerto LVL ribs weighed less than 15kg each and avoided the need for mechanical assistance to install.
The deck was also formed from petal shaped panels of 27mm Kerto, each grooved to receive a loose tongue to the next. They were decorated at works to reduce site time.
